Founded in 2021, the Colorado Boer Goat Association (CBGA) was formed to meet the needs of the region’s Boer goat breeders and showmen—in Colorado and beyond. What started as a simple vision finally came to fruition in 2021 when the founders—Jennifer Johnson-Seltzer, Madessa Hoffer-Dye and Katie Sinclair—filed the articles of incorporation.
In 2022, CBGA opened its first show season with a bang, hosting three shows, including the inaugural Memorial Day Show. Today, CBGA has grown to more than 40 members, spanning Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming and Kansas.
No matter the state, any Boer goat breeder, showman, industry partner or supporter is welcome to become a member and take advantage of the association’s benefits, like reduced entry fees, show premiums and more.
